palette knife paintings

This blog is dedicated to my love of art and specifically my recent exploration of painting with acrylic paint and a 59 cent palette knife. I've been painting for many years in various styles in mostly watercolor and acrylic paint. This body of work came from a monday evening life drawing class when I decided to try painting the 20 minute poses with a palette knife. This led to painting the things I love, travel, cars, harbors, landscapes, animals etc. I love bright colors which come right out of the tube. Mixing color makes muddy colors. The sketchy texture of how I apply the paint creates an energetic feel that makes things like trees, water and even a parked car look like it's moving. Thank you for visiting my blog.
